The wind was blowing, lightning sparking up in the distance. It had been a long day working on the farm. The old wooden house started to tremble and shake. Her little brother was running toward home from his favorite fishing hole and pointing back across his shoulder with a wild look in his eye. She looked up to see the darkest sky in memory, gazing at the circle of clouds moving down to the Earth. The air started cooling off, while the breeze started picking up. There was a calm eery feeling crawling down the back of her neck. The wind started to pick up a little more. Soon these clouds became the biggest tornado seen on the planet. The snaking arm reaching out of the clouds had three distinct bends in it. A large oak tree limb started to break and head towards her room. Mom rushed into the room and attempted to grab her. But, as she reached out to grab her only daughter, the high winds picked up mom and carried her deep into the dark night sky. She blinked a couple of times trying to wake up, only to see her younger brother tripping on a dog toy, falling into the path of the broken oak limb. He reached out, trying for a moment, to reach her hand of safety. But no luck. She watched in horror as the tree limb fell upon him, squeezing the life out of him. She then looked up to see mom landing on a bale of hay while holding a fishing pole to her side. In the distance she heard her daddy, ‘duck my sweetheart, duck!’ Before she could think twice, a machete found only in one of the barns away from the house and used only to cut back the weeds along the fence, spun right for her...
As she woke up from the terrible dream, she rolled over and looked out the window. The air was calm, dust was settling from above. As the sun came up, the sky was bright orange and yellow, she noticed a new sign sitting in the yard. She rubbed her eyes trying to read the sign. The sign read:
